Center City’s Million Dollar Plus Condo Sales
In the past two years, Center City has seen a generous amount of wealth within its borders. From Old City to Fitler Square, there really isn’t a neighborhood that hasn’t seen it’s share in growth of the higher priced condos. Though the following numbers are going to be heavily skewed by the fact that say 1706 Rittenhouse, or 10 Rittenhouse don’t disclose their sales to the MLS, here is what is generally public knowledge for sales since 1/1/08 in town:
Zip Code Number of $1m+ sales
19102 16 (due mostly to Liberty Two and Ritz Carlton)
19103 17 (again, no 1706 or 10 Rittenhouse here)
19106 15 (Old City and Society Hill)
A fairly equal disbursement of wealth throughout a few different areas, I would say. Remember, back in the 1980’s, if you had $1m to spend on a condo, there was only one destination-a condo on Rittenhouse Square.
